you know the feeling of how life brings you to a point that you realize that you are somewhere you don't even think that you'd be in ten years time? you're not crazily happy, but at the same time, not entirely sad la. okey-okey je la . . .
well, at least that's what happen to me & adib yesterday while we were chilling at home watching Junior MasterChef Finale with opah baca quran, umi sembahyang and dekna upstairs . . . .
he was so into the show that he go and make himself a simple little dish of a couple of sausages + bread + extra ingredients which i think is really unnecessary ;p *like the white pepper on a black pepper sausage? huh?
well that's because, he wanted to be a chef 11 years ago, and me, i wanted to be an interior designer, yes, it's already 10 freakin' years ago! but our parents did not approve of what was in our mind back then, hence we are where we are now.
and of course we have reached to that moment of in ten years from now, i want to be a . . . . . . . . moment.
and we realized that what our parents haf decided for us, which they think is the best for us, is really is the best.
you know why? coz, if we were to be rebellious-ly crazy and chose the path that we wanted to take before, we'd be . . . . . .
"adib : you, yes, you, please clean up the sotong {squid}
and prepare for all the other dish for the coming wedding
in our hotel ballroom tomorrow.
{acting as an Executive Chef in a well renowned Hotel}"
"kasuma : yes Datin Sri, i will paint and make sure your daughter's room
is in PINK color, together wif butterfly motifs. okey.
{acting as an Interior Designer for a high end project}"
and yes, all this will take place on weekends! damn, there goes our precious weekends. Thank God, we didn't follow through wif what we dumb-ly want. if not, we will not even be in this conversation + acting it out face to face together in front of the tv enjoying chocolates and snacks. though we don't really love it {hopefully, there will be a better opportunity for us later, Insyaallah} but at least we can enjoy our weekends together! :)
yaikss! parents truly knows whats best.
